60 parents and children recently gathered for King’s Cafe which is held in the local primary school halls at D’Auvergne School and Janvrin for an hour or so on a Sunday afternoon (3:30pm).
One parent said “It was like a family service and a children’s party combined, it was fantastic”. King’s Cafe aims to be a really realaxed and enjoyable environment in which parents and children alike can learn more about the good news of Jesus Christ.
Through Craft activities, music and multimedia, through drama and of course our Puppets (Duncan the Donkey and Woolie the Sheep) we aim to communicate the great love that God has for each one of us. Up-to-date technology is used to make each café a fun and exciting experience and free drinks, doughnuts and live music are all provided.
Five things that make a King's Cafe: watch a slide presentation here.
What is the media saying?
- 'A fascinating and innovative approach to Christian teaching'
- 'Drama, music and dance are all part of this exciting and modern approach'
- 'The atmosphere was fantastic, a buzz of children, contented parents chatting together; it really was a delight to be there'
The King is of course Jesus Christ and the café says everything about the relaxed environment that you will find.
